The Workplace Battlefield – Where great talent goes to die.

Employee engagement remains at an all time low with just 33% in the US and  a sad 23% globally. Looking at it another way – over 2/3rd’s of employees are to some level disengaged in the work and with it the goals and objectives of their organization.

What a waste of human talent. An even greater waste when one considers the focus on “talent management” that is a key strategy for almost every organization.

This book focuses on six major problems that cause disengagement in the workplace and suggests what needs to be fixed and how to do it. Problems that get in the way of an individuals desire to be engaged in the work. Excess bureaucracy. Poor systems, tools, and equipment.

Misaligned policies and procedures. Poor management and leadership. Failure to integrate. Irresponsible and anti-social behaviour. Every one of them an issue that needs to be fixed if engagement is to be improved.

Creating a great workplace culture is about building a place where people can excel. Where talent can perform. Where innovation and creativity thrive. Where results can be generated. Let’s fix the problem.
